Targets and responsibilities:
The main role of the global commodity buyer is to build and implement a group purchasing strategy for the purchasing of IT and Telecommunication devices and services. The main missions are to:
• Develop market intelligence
• Contribute to the global purchasing strategy and deploy it across the different Business Units
• Define and manage the supplier panel
• Develop partnership with the suppliers and lead framework agreements
• Identify synergies across the business units and take charge of transversal group projects
• Negotiate corporate contracts
• Lead implementation of contracts resulting of these projects
• Define and manage deployment in all regions
• Take care of the follow up, controlling and reporting of the activities.
Organizational Integration:
Being a part of the international commodity team the position reports directly to the Global Commodity Manager presently based in Spain.
Profile of the candidate:
• Academical education, preferably a masters degree or diploma with a technical focus (Engineering, IT)
• About 5 years experiences in purchasing of service contracts, hardware and software for
information technology and telecommunications matters
• International experience
• Project management knowledge
• Solid user experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and with
purchasing applications (preferably RFI, RFQ or similar)
• Ability to work in matrixed organizations
• Resilient team player
• High negotiation skills, internally and externally
